🄸 Alternative Seder led by Rabbi Debra Kolodny

Yearning for a seder that dives deeply into the many challenging and awesome liberation struggles we are experiencing today? Come join us! Together we will enliven and engage with our traditional seder as we celebrate Judaism's vast liberation teachings and apply them to the following topics: Immigrants and refugees, Mass incarceration, LGBTQI+ Liberation, Health care, Climate Catastrophe, Reproductive rights, Reparations, Bitterness-Israel/Palestine today, Korekh-the sweetness of what Israel/Palestine can be.

Rabbi Deb will provide a short foundational teaching on each topic, and YOU, yes YOU! will provide a paragraph or two on the work you are involved with that brings us ever closer to our collective liberation. Up to NINE JCA members will co-facilitate the seder when you raise your hand to lead a section. First come, first served, so if you feel moved to take a section please register first then contact Rabbi Deb Kolodny ASAP at [email protected].

These teachings will be offered in the container of the 15 steps of the seder, no section will be missed! Traditional and new melodies will be sung-think Dai dai dayeinu to Batya Levine's We Rise. Can't wait to see you there!

No Zoom access available for this seder.

The menu for the seders will posted soon!
Gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available.
