🄷 Klezmer Kaboles Shabbes: Ma’ariv, Kiddush, Dinner and Zmires

Please join The Wholesale Klezmer Band for a Shabbes evening service, which pairs prayers with traditional Ashkenazi melodies, klezmer tunes, and Yiddish songs to welcome the Sabbath, accompanied instrumentally by members of the Wholesale Klezmer Band: Cantor/Yiddish Singer/Dance Leader Yosl Kurland, clarinetist Margot Leverett, accordionist Aaron Bousel, and flutist Peggy Davis. It will be a lively and soulful evening service with joyful and meditative music. We hope you’ll dance, too!

The service will be followed by a dinner and oneg shabbes at which we’ll all join in singing Yiddish and Hebrew zmires (table songs) accompanied by the band. A song booklet will be provided. We hope you’ll plan to stay for the singing.
