🄷 Shabbat Services and Kiddush - Special Service Sponsored by the JCA Non-Exclusion Committee
Masks Wearing Strongly Encouraged - Please continue reading for details
Description
The JCA Non-Exclusion Committee is sponsoring this special inclusive Shabbat morning service on Saturday August 24th. Universal mask wearing will be strongly encouraged.
While many of us have moved on from Covid and no longer wear masks, there are members of our community who must remain covid cautious, for their own or a loved one's health and safety. They have been excluded from the ability to participate in in-person Jewish Community. There are also people in our community who are immunocompromised, or have other health conditions that prevented them from attending in person even pre-covid.
We hope to create this Shabbat at which they feel welcomed and supported. As we all pray and study together in-person, we hope this gathering allows more people to experience the pleasures of being together and hearing one another's voices.
In order to promote a more welcoming and inclusive environment, the following protocols will be in place on this special Shabbat:
* All attendees will be strongly encouraged to wear a mask during the service.
* Weather permitting, there will be outdoor tables set up for kiddush lunch after the service.
* A reminder: the JCA has an air handling system that brings in outdoor air and exchanges the entire room of air 4 times an hour. In addition, all rooms are equipped with multiple high grade HEPA filters.
