We will be discussing “Once We Were Home“ by Jennifer Rosner
The book, a work of fiction, which we will be discussing is “Once We Were Home“ by Jennifer Rosner. It has received high praise with one reviewer writing: “Once We Were Home is a great title for this beautifully written and well-researched account of the lives of four children who were hidden or stolen during WWII to protect them from the Nazis and "save" them. The story follows these children for decades (1946-1968) even as they become adults with their own children.” This is the first book of the four that we will read in the 2024/25 cycle. The next book will be chosen by members of the September 12th group. All are welcome, even if you have never attended a book group before but have read this book.
