Sally Greenhouse is a new member of the JCA, and an award-winning solo performance artist/writer and former dancer, known for her unique satirical monologues in live performances and videos. Having suffered severe spinal cord injury in a car accident, she is the artist/creator of the New England Foundation for the Arts funded project/podcast "Secret Lives of the Disabled", for which she interviews a variety of guests, who provide insight into what happens in the U.S. if you or someone you care about become physically disabled, suddenly, via calamity, or gradually, from chronic illness.
Rabbi Weiner was recently a guest on the podcast, and spoke with Sally about the JCA's Non-Exclusion work, and his own journey within the rabbinate towards advocacy for disability rights.

Now Rabbi Weiner is delighted to be returning the favor, by hosting a public conversation with Sally about the podcast, and her life and work.
In advance of this conversation, Sally encourages you to view the podcast preview presentation by Forbes Library, available through their YouTube channel, for a behind the scenes glimpse into her artistic vision. Click here to listen to the podcast preview presentation.
There is also a conversation with Jewish memoirist, politician, and veteran Jason Kander (click here to listen to the conversation with Jason Kander)
And a conversation with poet, memoirist, novelist and child of Holocaust survivors Michael Blumenthal (click here to listen to the conversation with Michael Blumenthal).
Please join us on the 17th, for davenning, which will start at 7pm, and the hour-long conversation from 7:30 to 8:30.
It will all take place at the regular JCA services Zoom link, which you can access through the JCA website.
