Description
JCA Community Mishloach Manot (gifts of food) for Purim

The giving of Mishloach Manot, gifts of food to friends and family, is one of the four mitzvot (commandments) performed on Purim. It is a heartfelt way to emphasize the Jewish unity that lies at the core of the Purim holiday, and to create meaningful connections within our own community at the same time.

The JCA as a community, sends a gift basket to every member household each year.

The JCA as a community  provides our members an opportunity to participate in this mitzvah by making a donation, allowing us to send a gift basket to every member household. This year, our Kesher students will be hand delivering the boxes to local members on Wednesday March 12 as part of our new Mensch Patrol initiative.

On Wednesday March 5th there will be an opportunity for community volunteers to help pack the boxes - sign up here!

Community Giving: Your $36 donation (or other amount that is meaningful to you) will help us to send a gift basket to every single JCA member household. Each household will receive 1 basket, with a card carrying the names of all the people who contributed to the initiative.

Individual Giving: In addition to contributing to our community effort, you may purchase additional gift baskets that we will ship for you to your friends and family outside the JCA membership.  These baskets will cost $36/each and include the cost of shipping within the United States.

What’s included? Each gift basket will have an assortment of vegetarian, nut free treats including chocolates, candies, dried fruit, and hamantashen.
