Speakers: Gwen Agna, Educator and Author
Gwen Agna has been an educator for over 45 years, most recently the Principal of the Jackson Street Elementary School in Northampton. She has an international background and is recipient of many awards, including an honorary doctorate from Smith College. She is the author of Finding Home: Words from Kids Seeking Sanctuary.
Amanda Gauthier, Principal, Emergence Academy, Springfield
Amanda Gauthier has been educated in both the fields of business management and education having received her doctorate from Vanderbilt University. In 2020 she became the Founding Principal of Emergence Academy in Springfield. Emergence was created to meet the needs of students arriving from other countries with limited English proficiency.
